Croma Medic Inc. was founded in 1986 and was pioneered by Messrs. Manfred S. Rode (a German national) and Orly E. Sacro (a Filipino).  It started as a small ophthalmic  distributor and evolved thru the years establishing a respectable name in the industry with the philosophy of being the “Big Frog in Small Pond”.

After undergoing  a positive due diligence in 2000, STADA Arzneimittel AG decided to take on 60% shareholdings of the Company thus substantially strenghtening  its position as well providing an attractive additional products portfolio. By the middle of 2007 STADA AG decided to acquire 100% ownership of the Company with an aim of becoming a major player in the local pharmaceutical industry.

Presently the Company is engaged in the importation, marketing, sales and distribution on nationwide basis. The areas of therapeutic interest are in Ophthalmology, Vision Care, Cardiology, Nephrology, Dermatology, Gastroenterology, NSAIDs, Respiratory Care. Other therapeutic specialties are under considerations. By concentrating on clearly defined specialty areas the company obtained a meaningful market share within a relatively short time and thus able to successfully compete with larger companies in the healthcare industry.
